Mike + Liz Engagement: Redondo Beach Pier

With rain in the forecast, I feared the engagement photo shoot with Mike and Liz was going to have to be rescheduled. Luckily, all of the forecasts were dead wrong, and we were able to have a successful shoot under sunny, blue skies… although it was a bit windy.

The Redondo Beach Pier on a Wednesday afternoon was a great place for a photo shoot. It wasn’t ridiculously overcrowded like on a Saturday. The boardwalk is filled with color and is a visually exciting place with lots of things to do and great food to eat.

Mike and Liz were really easy to work with. The photos practically took themselves, even though it was their first real time in front of the camera. Since their wedding is next week at the Palos Verdes Golf Club, we thought it appropriate to take shots with the ocean and the cliffs of the Palos Verdes peninsula in the background. Although I almost got attacked by a pelican, I didn’t get my eyes pecked out and no camera got crapped on.
