Alia + Leonard Wedding: The Reef – Long Beach

Alia and Leonard are photographed with their bridal party in front of the Lions Lighthouse at Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach, CA on 7/6/13.

Alia put her creativity and craftiness on display for her and Leonard’s multicultural, DIY-inspired wedding at St. Bartholomews Church and The Reef in Long Beach. A pre-wedding event called a Nalangu was held, which is a traditional Indian ceremony that symbolically cleanses the bride a groom before the big day.

After a beautiful Catholic ceremony, the bridal party went to Shoreline Aquatic Park, where we had fun taking photos amidst beautiful views of Rainbow Harbor, the Queen Mary and downtown Long Beach.

Much thought went into all the fun details for the reception at The Reef. Alia came up with all the decorations herself, like orchid centerpieces, rhinestone studded votive candles, and hand crafted sparklers for her guests to hold during their grand exit. She even crafted cute goodie boxes for the kids table, complete with coloring books and card games! The florals from Devynn’s Garden were perfect and the day went smoothly thanks to All Things Imagined.
