Crystalene + Garrett Engagement: Long Beach

Crystalene and Garrett are photographed at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach, CA on 9/11/12.

It’s always a treat for me when I get to photograph engagements and weddings for friends, and it seems like it takes less time to break the ice and start to feel comfortable in front of the camera. Crystalene and Garrett were all smiles during their engagement shoot.

We started off at Harry Bridges Memorial Park by the Queen Mary catching the last bit of golden sunset light. Then we took a casual stroll down to the beautiful Hotel Maya and took full advantage of the lush, tropical setting around the hotel.

When Crystalene told me their upcoming autumn wedding was going to be on a yacht and that it would be a vintage nautical theme, I got all excited!
