Mike + Liz Wedding: Palos Verdes Golf Club, Palos Verdes Estates

This was my first golf club wedding and the Palos Verdes Golf Club is one of the best in the area for sweeping views and lush scenery. As the day unfolded, I had a gut feeling that the overcast skies would break open a little and let some warm sunlight stream in for the ceremony. My weather prediction was right!

Mike and Liz put together a great wedding that went off without a hiccup. Every detail, from the floral arrangements to the parting gifts, made their ceremony and reception unique. Once the day began, I worked my photojournalist magic, allowing me to catch some great candid moments.

The diffused sun made the light nice and pretty for portraits on the golf course. It gave the photos a soft and moody feel, and made it unnecessary to use my flash. It was a recipe for stylized yet classic wedding photos… it didn’t hurt that they picked such a gorgeous place.
